Research booklet for an axolotl fish

Henry wanted an axolotl….. he spent 3 days researching about how to look after it, what it equipment it needed etc…. He found one for sale in Peterborough… he came with me in the car….. he was like a worried new parent driving back with it in a bag….we had to install and plumb in a water filter tap, as it wouldn’t live well in hard water…it had the biggest tank, Japanese ornaments, blood worms (stink like shit) real worms from the garden….water filter….pipes for emptying and cleaning tank out (frequently flooding his room) Then a cooling system (as needs cold water) Basically the axolotl cost £30, and everything else estimated about £800…. About 6 months later he had to rehome it…as we couldn’t keep the water temperature low enough. The buyer lived in Basildon… mum drove there and back, took 10 hours….. as I knew Henry would be diligent and keep in touch with the new owner wanting photos, news of its well-being etc… H did so much for his animals. He loved animals more than humans!!
